The wolffish inhabits coastal reef areas throughout Hokkaido and can grow to over XNUMXm in length.

Both jaws have huge canine teeth, which are used in nature to eat octopus, shellfish, and sea urchins.Also, from this scary appearance, the name "wolffish" was given, and it is also called "Bering wolffish" in English.
