The "Large Encounter Sea Tank" recreates the rich seas off the coast of Ibaraki where the Kuroshio Current and the Oyashio Current meet, and is home to around 20,000 sardines, as well as around 80 creatures of around 25,000 different species, including sea turtles and sharks, swimming leisurely along the water.
The program "IWASHI LIFE", which takes place in this aquarium, is held three times a day (1:3/10:00/12:00).
