Clione on display in a special aquarium!
Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium began exhibiting the naked sea angel (Clione) on Friday, February 7, 2.
The naked crab, commonly known as "clione," is a type of snail shell that does not have a shell. It swims by flapping its wings, which are called "wing feet," that extend out to the left and right.
The naked crabs on display were collected in the Sea of Okhotsk, but in April 1998, 4 specimens were found in Oarai Port, which caused a stir as it significantly shifted the southern limit of their distribution. Don't miss this opportunity to come and see them!
