Baby nurse sharksBorn this March! We have begun exhibiting the parent and child in the "Sharks of the World" tank in our aquarium.

The nurse shark is a species of shark belonging to the Carcharhinidae family that inhabits warm seas such as coral reefs in the Pacific Ocean. On March 7, 2026, the mother shark gave birth to two juveniles, each approximately 60 cm in length, marking the third successful breeding at our aquarium in two years. Two days after birth, the juveniles were able to eat food (such as pieces of horse mackerel) given to them by the zookeepers, and their stable condition was confirmed. As a result, they were moved to the "Sharks of the World" tank along with their parents, and you can now see the mother and calves swimming together. Please compare their size to that of their parents and watch the babies grow.
