The whitetip reef shark is a member of the Carcharhinidae family that inhabits warm waters such as the coral reefs of the Pacific Ocean. On August 2024, 8, a mother shark gave birth to four young fish measuring approximately 19 cm in length in the backyard, marking the second successful breeding event at the aquarium. On the second day after birth, the fish were confirmed to be in a stable condition, such as eating food (such as fillets of horse mackerel) given by the zookeeper, so they were moved to the exhibition tank "Shark Sea 68" in the aquarium and began exhibiting them.
The parent shark is on display in a separate tank called "Sharks of the World," which also displays three whitetip reef sharks that were born two years ago as the first breeding event at the aquarium. They have now grown big and healthy, and you can see them swimming with the parent shark.
