Our special program for October includes daily "Backyard Tours" and "Penguin Feeding," as well as "Otter Feeding," "Sea Lion Feeding," and "Sea Lion Feeding."

If you wish to participate, please purchase a participation ticket for the desired program from the ticket vending machine in front of the general information, and gather at the meeting place.

Please note that there are some notes on participation, so please check them in advance.

Backyard tour

You will be guided behind the scenes of the aquarium where the keepers work, with commentary from the keepers.

Time	Twice a day: ① 11:00 AM ② 2:00 PM *Each session is approximately 30 minutes long.

• If you are unable to purchase a ticket for your companion due to sold out, please contact the general information desk.
• Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by an adult(Participation tickets are also required for attendants).
• Children under the age of 3 can participate, but please refrain from participating in strollers. (Strollers will be kept at the entrance of the backyard.)
• After the meeting time, it will be canceled.Also, refunds are not possible.
• The backyard is wet and slippery.Please be careful of your feet.
• You may look into the water tank from above.Please be careful not to drop anything in the water tank.
• Please refrain from taking photos and videos in the backyard.

Please note that the event may be cancelled at short notice depending on the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Japan.

• The event will be held rain or shine; in the event of inclement weather, the venue will be changed.Since it is outdoors, you will get wet in rainy weather, so please bring an umbrella.
• Feed with tongs over a 90 cm high fence in the area under the stairs.Limited to those who can participate in the program by themselves.(You cannot participate while holding a child.)
• Please take photos and videos during the experience from the designated location.
• If you can't come by time, we will cancel it.Also, refunds are not possible.

Otter food

Aqua World Oarai is the only aquarium in Japan where you can experience a special time with Canadian river otters.

• Food is provided through a transparent acrylic panel.
• The back yard is wet and there are some slippery areas.
• Taking photos or videos in the backstage area or during the experience is not permitted.
• Children under 5 years old are not permitted to participate.
• If you are late for the meeting time, your tour will be cancelled. We cannot offer refunds for any reason after the meeting time.

Sea lionof rice

At the live event, you can feed the very popular sea lions and observe them skillfully catching food up close.
