Nemophila flowers, blue skies, the sea, and marine life. An aquarium showcasing the "blue" of Ibaraki Prefecture has arrived.✿
At this time of year, the Miharashi Hill at Hitachi Seaside Park attracts many visitors with its breathtaking scenery, where the entire area is dyed blue. Our aquarium has begun exhibiting a special tank designed with the scenery of nemophila, which will soon be in full bloom, as its motif, starting April 9th, 2026 (Thursday).
This special aquarium exhibit is inspired by the "Miharashi Hill," a vast expanse of blue where the sky, sea, and nemophila flowers seem to blend together. The vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean stretching out before Aqua World Oarai, the blue sky above, and the delicate blue fish, such as the "Deba Damselfish" and "Blue Damselfish," reminiscent of nemophila petals, swim as if dancing through the air, creating a unique aquarium landscape.
Furthermore, by going behind the tank, you can take immersive photos that make you feel as if you're stepping into the overlapping blue space. Please enjoy this specially installed aquarium along with the spectacular view of the nemophila flowers at Hitachi Seaside Park.
