Aqua World Oarai x Ibaraki Robots collaboration event AQUAWORLD OARAI ARENA will be held from February 12th to March 8th!

This year, we will be collaborating with the local Ibaraki Prefecture professional basketball team, the Ibaraki Robots, to hold a special event to further liven up Ibaraki!

We will be supporting the Ibaraki Robots, who are expected to do well in the B.LEAGUE PREMIER, which will finally begin next season, through a variety of programs! We will be hosting an aquarium exhibit in hopes of the Ibaraki Robots' continued growth, as well as in-house programs in collaboration with basketball. On Saturday, February 21st, #10 Chen Oka will take on the annual role of Director for a Day, and as part of a special Director for a Day event, #10 Chen Oka will take on popular programs to liven up the event!

Ibaraki Robots Aquarium

A special corner will be set up featuring an aquarium in collaboration with the Ibaraki Robots! In line with this year's slogan, "GROW BOLD," we will be exhibiting hermit crabs, whose forms change dramatically as they grow. Next to the aquarium, you can observe larval specimens under a microscope. In addition, a special corner for the Ibaraki Robots will be exhibiting life-size panels of players and their autographs.

This large hermit crab lives on sandy and muddy bottoms at depths of 20 to 200 meters. It is characterized by horizontal stripes on its claws and legs. It lives inside shells such as the staghorn clam, and sometimes has anemones attached to its shell to protect it from predators such as octopuses.

Collaborative commentary between Ibaraki Robots players and living creatures

The exhibition tanks inside the museum will have explanatory boards about the collaboration between Ibaraki Robots players and living creatures. You can enjoy the unique exhibits of this collaboration event, where you can compare and experience the characteristics of the creatures, such as their jumping power and arm length, together with the players! You will have to wait until you visit to find out which player will be collaborating with which exhibition tank, so be sure to explore the museum while looking for the explanatory boards.

If you tell the staff at the general information desk on the 3rd floor the keyword on the Ibaraki Robots collaboration tank, you will receive a limited edition sticker for this collaboration project on a first-come, first-served basis! There are four designs in total, and they will be given out on a weekly basis, so why not try to collect all of them?

February 21st: #10 Chen Okan's One-Day Director's Day Special Event

On Saturday, February 21st, we will be inviting #10 Chin Oka Ryuu, a local Tsukuba, Ibaraki, player who joined the Ibaraki Robots last season and has been performing well, to serve as the museum director for one day. He will be appearing in a special Dolphin & Sea Lion Ocean Live performance and participating in a "Photo Shoot with Sea Lions" event. While #10 Chin Oka usually shows off his competitive spirit on the court, you might get to see a different side to him. This is sure to be a special day that will be enjoyed not only by #10 Chin Oka fans and Ibaraki Robots fans, but by many others as well.

#10 Jingaoka Ruu

A 188cm tall point guard/shooting guard with a strong physique, his greatest weapon is his fierce defense, which doesn't give in to opponents.
On offense, he not only excels at 3-point shots but also makes plays with his stable handling, making him a key player on both offense and defense.

One-day Director Appointment Ceremony *Past Events

To mark Director for One Day Day, an appointment ceremony will be held where the Director of the Conservatory will present the appointment letter. Just before the appointment ceremony, Robosuke and the robot dance team RDT, who came to support #10 Chengang, will perform a lively performance at the venue. After the ceremony, to kick off Director for One Day Day, #10 Chengang will appear in a special Dolphin and Sea Lion Ocean Live performance, where he will try his hand at performing with the dolphins!

"#10 Chin Oka's Lotus Root Curry" (limited quantity)

This hearty curry is made with lotus root, a local product of Ibaraki Prefecture, and was produced by #10 Chin Oka. It is topped with three pieces of fried chicken and three pieces of lotus root chips, in keeping with #10 Chin Oka's signature three-point shot. Customers who purchase the limited menu will receive an original sticker as a gift.
