"Utageya" - Sake Tour Night - A night aquarium for adults who enjoy local sake - will be held on Saturday, March 7th
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, we will be holding a special edition of our popular "Utage-Ya" event, where you can enjoy the aquarium and local sake at night.

This will be the fourth time the event is being held, and the plan is to expand on the previous three "Utage-ya" events that have focused on serving sake, with a special event where you can taste a variety of alcoholic beverages, including sake, plum wine, wine, and beer, all in one place. Four sake breweries in the prefecture will be coming together, each offering their own unique drink.
*This event is only open to those aged 20 and over. Those under 20 (including infants and preschool children) are not permitted to enter.

You can enjoy a variety of drinks in small portions, or savor your favorite drink at your leisure. Enjoy your own "Sake Tour" at the aquarium at night, where time flows leisurely. We also offer soft drinks made with carefully selected ingredients, so that drivers and those who don't like alcohol can enjoy themselves.

A giant "aquarium cedar ball" made of approximately 2 sardines has appeared!

Inspired by the "sugidama" (cedar ball) that sake breweries place on their eaves to announce the completion of their new sake and its state of maturity, this event will feature a giant "aquarium cedar ball (sardine ball)" made up of approximately 2 sardines in the museum's largest aquarium, the "Large Encounter Sea Tank." Be sure to enjoy this dynamic performance while sipping on some local sake.

We have a special gift for those who visit using the Oarai Kashima Line!
Customers who purchase a ticket for "Utageya - Sake Tour Night" and travel to the museum by Kashima Rinkai Railway Oarai Kashima Line will receive a commemorative hard ticket and an original glass (not for sale).(Limited to the first 200 people)There will also be a free shuttle bus running between Oarai Station and the museum. Please consider coming by public transportation as a memento of your participation in the event.

Free shuttle bus service
A free shuttle bus will be operated between Oarai Station and the aquarium (direct) for guests attending the banquet evening.

| Matters to keep in mind | For safe operation, the shuttle bus will have a capacity of 53 seats per trip (45 regular seats and 8 auxiliary seats), and will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to traffic conditions on the day, there may be delays to the service, but those who board the 18:45 service will be able to enter the aquarium. |

- This is an event aimed at adults, so anyone under the age of 20 (including infants and preschool children) is not permitted to enter.
- Drinking and driving is prohibited by law. When visiting the museum, please use public transportation or have someone with you who will help you drive.
- Soft drinks will also be available, and tasting tickets can be exchanged for soft drinks.
- Relaxation Cafe "Mermaid" also offers a menu that is only available during night hours, so please feel free to come and enjoy it. (Last orders: Food: 19:30 / Drinks: 19:45)
