The popular program "Penguin Walking Time" has been suspended due to the penguins' summer molting (shedding of feathers), but will be held again from September 9th for the first time in about three and a half months.

"Penguin Walk Time" is held to help the Humboldt penguins get some exercise and stimulate their feet, with around 10 penguins walking in a line along a 100-meter round trip walkway inside the Ocean Terrace. Along the way, sloped courses and hurdles are set up, and the sight of the unique penguins boldly jumping over or avoiding them is just like a sports day. Autumn "IWASHI LIFE"

"IWASHI LIFE," a performance program featuring approximately 2 sardines set in the large aquarium tank of the Sea of ​​Encounters, will be performing its autumnal production from September 9th.

In autumn, sardines begin migrating south from the waters off the Kanto region to spawn in winter. The autumn "IWASHI LIFE" recreates the powerful movements of schools of sardines hurrying on their journey to the southern seas, accompanied by dramatic lighting and music that resembles autumn leaves dancing in the wind.
