Santa Claus Diver is coming!
Santa Claus divers will be appearing in the large Encounter Sea tank and the Sunfish tank to deliver presents to the creatures. You can also watch the animals have their precious meal, and the zookeepers will be explaining the ecology of the animals in front of the tanks.

A Christmas tree made by animals is here!
Introducing an "ocean Christmas tree" decorated with beautiful corals! It is known that some corals emit light from proteins in their bodies when exposed to ultraviolet light, and in this tank you can see it glowing just like an illuminated tree. Fish such as the yellow damselfish decorate the tree made of corals such as purple ivy. Don't miss this Christmas tree made of creatures that can only be found at an aquarium!

Purple ivy
They are a type of soft coral that does not have a hard skeleton and are also called star polyps. They have a strong reproductive ability and grow to cover rocks and other surfaces.
Bean Ocean Anemone
A relative of sea anemones, it reinforces its body with sand grains embedded in it. It is known for forming large colonies and comes in a wide variety of colors.

Giving Christmas presents to the animals in the Nagomi Sea Zone
During munching time, we will give ice cakes with fish to the tufted puffins, spotted seals, and river otters that live in the Nagomi Sea Zone. The spotted seals and river otters will also give visitors who are watching their munching time a chance to take some cute photos! Don't forget to have your camera ready!
