In November, there will be six special programs: "Shark Special Tour (with feeding experience)", "Backyard Tour", "Penguin Meal", "Handshake with Sea Lions", "Dolphin Touch" and "Otter Meal". We will hold a program.

In addition, in the touching pool, special programs are held every day that allow you to experience contact with living creatures. Click here for more information.Please also take a look.

If you wish to participate, please purchase a participation ticket for the desired program from the ticket vending machine in front of the general information, and gather at the meeting place.

Shark special tour (with feeding experience)

This is a special backyard tour specializing in "sharks", which boasts the largest number of kept species in Japan!

Time	Held every day from 14:00 *Approx. 30 minutes
Fee	1 yen per person (Over 4 years old）
Fixed employee	10 people
The meeting place	5th floor, next to the Canadian otter tank (in front of the toilet)

• Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by an adult(Participation tickets are also required for attendants).
• Children under the age of 3 can participate, but please refrain from participating in strollers. (Strollers will be kept at the entrance of the backyard.)
• After the meeting time, it will be canceled.Also, refunds are not possible.
• The backyard is wet and slippery.Please be careful of your feet.
• You may look into the water tank from above.Please be careful not to drop anything in the water tank.
• Please refrain from taking photos and videos in the backyard.
• If you are unable to purchase a ticket for your companion due to sold out, please contact the general information desk.

Backyard tour

We will guide you behind the scenes of the aquarium where the aquarium keepers work, with commentary from the keepers.

Time	Held only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11:00 *Approximately 30 minutes
Fee	1 yen per person (Over 4 years old）
Fixed employee	15 people
The meeting place	5th floor, next to the Canadian otter tank (in front of the toilet)

penguin rice

Enjoy a special experience up close with the penguins at the "Ocean Terrace".

The meeting place	Outdoor area “Ocean Terrace” Humboldt penguin tank

• It will be canceled in case of rain or stormy weather.Since it is outdoors, you will get wet in rainy weather, so please bring an umbrella.
• Feed with tongs over a 90 cm high fence in the area under the stairs.Limited to those who can participate in the program by themselves.(You cannot participate while holding a child.)
• Please take photos and videos during the experience from the designated location.
• If you can't come by time, we will cancel it.Also, refunds are not possible.

Handshake event with sea lions

Shake hands with the popular sea lions at live performances!You can observe it up close.

• Applicants must be 5 years of age or older and able to participate in the program on their own.Please refrain from participating in children under the age of 5.

dolphin touch

You can touch the dolphins' bodies from the stage and observe them up close.

The meeting place	4th Floor Ocean Theater

• Children under 3rd grade of elementary school must be accompanied by an adult. (Participation tickets are not required for those who are accompanying only.) 
• Please refrain from participating in children under the age of 5.
• Photos and videos cannot be taken during the experience.It is possible for those who are only visiting to take pictures from the bleachers. (Participation tickets are not required for visitors only.)
• If you can't come by time, we will cancel it.Also, refunds are not possible.

Otter meal

A special time with Canadian otters that you can meet at Aqua World Oarai, the only aquarium in Japan.

Fee	1 yen per group (up to 1,000 people per group, 1 years old or older)
Fixed employee	3 pairs
The meeting place	6th floor otter tank

• Feed the animals through a transparent acrylic plate.
• The backyard is wet and may be slippery.
• It is not possible to take photos or videos in the backyard or during the experience.
• Please refrain from participating in children under the age of 4.
• If you can't come by time, we will cancel it.Also, refunds are not possible.
